This semester, Jason, one of our former teens who is now a college intern in our after-school program, shared a profound revelation he had about the impact of the Strong Family's Institute Class (offered in partnership with My Safe Harbor) on his mom. As he observed the transformative journey of his mother over the course of this 8-month intensive class, he was moved by the visible difference he noticed in her. Jason approached us with a heartfelt expression of gratitude, and his words were simple but resonated deeply. “Whatever you are doing with the moms, keep doing it because it’s making a difference.” He went on to express that he noticed how his mom found a new sense of purpose in life since her enrollment in the calss. He noted how she was breaking away from previously held views of herself and finding new identity and purpose that softened her spirit and moved her to be more connected and compassionate towards him and his family.
